About this site

This is a personal blog about projects I am completing in my Home Lab and is maintained by myself, Caleb Butcher. The goal is to share knowledge and experience, as well as document my findings for myself about these different projects.

You do not need to sign up or register for the site, everything will always remain free and open. I may eventually use the registration bit for alerting on new posts, but will not lock my content behind a paywall.

Caleb Butcher is a Enterprise Support Engineer at CyberArk. He primarily focuses on Support of CyberArk's Privileged Session Manager (PSM), PSM for SSH (PSMP), HTML5GW, and Remote Access (RA) Services. One of his responsibilities is being a SME for both the HTML5GW and Remote Access Services due to his experience with both Linux and Containerization. This involves working alongside Services Teams on new installations, as well as assisting his Team on more complex Support engagements.

When he isn't working Caleb is an avid Homelabber. He hosts the usual round-up of Homelab Services for his family, but also is constantly adapting and improving the entire service that his Homelab provides as a whole. What started as a couple of services installed on a spare Windows 10 machine has developed into a HCI Proxmox VE Cluster with local Ceph storage, and having bulk storage provided by a TrueNAS Core ZFS host.

Caleb also has experience with Cloud providers both from experience at work, as well as employing Cloud Services at home.
